Rob Joyce: I am currently Executive Vice President of Operations for Vivendi Water’s North American Division, a division created by Vivendi when they purchased my former company USFilter two years ago. My wife Colleen and I still live in Wexford, PA and are busy raising our two sons Ian (7) and Connor (4).
Theresa Gende Clouser: Eric and I are back in the U.S. now and living in Indianapolis. We had been living in Singapore for the last couple of years since I had an Asia Area office assignment for Lilly. I am currently Director – New Product Planning -ICR. No kids yet, just 2 dogs. My new address is: 1117 E. 82nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46240, phone: (317) 254-9616. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Reunion.
Sami Karam: I left Boston in early 1997 and moved to New York City to join Kingdon Capital, a $4bn global hedge fund, where I managed the European stock portfolio. In late 1999, I left Kingdon and started another fund, Objective Partners, which is a Europe-focused hedge fund. Although our timing was not the luckiest (we launched a product on April 1st, 2000, 2 weeks after the Nasdaq peaked), our returns have been good. Life has been great otherwise. We (my girlfriend and I) spend most of our weekends in Sag Harbor, NY where I bought a house in 1999. Since moving to New York, I have been in touch with more classmates.
Rich Pirrotta: Left the e-business in Miami in January to find another company to take from scratch to the next level. In the interim before the next career choice, I’m working for Deloitte & Touche in their M&A group in NYC, and have been able to catch up with many of our Wharton classmates, which has been great! Last August, I married Kat Phillips in Michigan, and was thankful that many good Wharton friends could attend. Look forward to seeing everyone who will make it back for the Reunion.
Michael Varner: My wife, Renee, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children: Michael (8), Matthew (6), Meredith (4). Our home is in Libertyville, IL (1124 Jessica Lane, 60048). My e-mail is mvarner@allstate.com. I am employed at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, Il (Chicago). I work on Allstate’s corporate cash and securities lending desk. I have worked for a number of firms since graduating in 1991. My most interesting work experience was managing a technology incubator at The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). The incubator, The Center for Mapping, develops mapping and positioning technologies for commercial applications. There were three interesting dimensions to this work: (1) forming multi-disciplinary teams for projects, (2) licensing technologies to the private sector, and (3) forming spin-off companies to commercialize technologies. A fascinating experience. I left the Center and Columbus, to move my family back to Illinois.
Jonathan Last: I recently left my position as Senior Director of Marketing for Renaissance Cruises, and after vacationing in Europe with my wife Sheryl, I’ve formed the JL Consulting Group, where I’m working with clients in the sports, leisure, consumer products and entertainment industries to improve their marketing effectiveness through constituent research and strategic planning. My family and the firm remain in West Palm Beach, Florida, the voting capital of the free world.

Scot Eckhart: I’ve recently been transferred to Dallas, Texas to serve as Controller of the Southwest Business Center for the Chrysler Group of DaimlerChrysler. Believe it or not, I’m still working for the same company that hired me when I graduated! Along with my wife Dawn and three kids: Brad (7), Bayley (3) and Drew (2), we’re all excited about this new opportunity.
Valerie Russell Emmott: Since August 2000, my husband Neil Emmott and our son Jeffrey (born 3/98) have been enjoying life in the West of England, near southern Wales, settling in to our new home in the port city of Bristol. I have set up my own company doing e-learning consulting work for organisations, and am broadening my focus to include teachers and schools. Any Whartonite living in this area is welcome to make contact with me at emmotts@compuserve.com!
Robyn Goldman: I’ve been in Philly since graduation, working initially as a founder and CFO/COO of Video News International, a TV news and documentary company ultimately purchased by the New York Times and now operating as NYT Television (producers of “Trauma: Life in the ER” on TLC). When the company moved to NYC, I became the head of the “Ventures” department at WHYY, Philly’s public TV and radio station. I am now running all for-profit ventures, as well as building a business around workforce training delivered via our digital broadcast signal. The biggest change in my life came this past March when I adopted two little girls (Alyona – 7 and Pelageya – 5) from Russia. Lack of a babysitter kept me from reunion activities!
Kim Mathew: Crista and I were blessed with a daughter, Hannah Claire Mathew on June 17, 2001. We are moving from Chelsea to Fulham to keep up with our expanding family where Crista can walk to Andrew’s school and I can teach Andrew how to ride his bike without stabilizers!

I have spent a few excellent years at Nike Europe’s headquarters in Amsterdam, where our class mate Dawn Hinds managed to get me into lots of trouble! I haven’t managed to squeeze out any kids yet BUT already know their names….Leviticus, Plato and Socrate!
Gordon Henry: My wife Debbie and I are pleased to announce the arrival of our third son, Theodore George Henry, born June 6, 2001 and weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz. He now joins brothers Oliver and Spencer in our own “My Three Sons” production, playing daily. John Fadool: This July marks our second year in Caracas, Venezuela. I am still with P&G as the Marketing Director for Latin America FemCare. Spend a lot of my time in Mexico. Margot is working as a Teacher Training Consultant for International Schools in Latin America. Our two boys (Max 3 and Jake 1) are keeping us busy as well. My wife Yvette and I have a wonderful son, Erik, almost three and another due Christmas day. Please stop by and say hi if you’re ever in San Diego.
Eric Green: Sorry I missed the reunion but something big came up. Laura and I were busy welcoming Ethan Isaac, who was born on 5/17. He weighed in at 6 1/2 lbs. and joins brothers Jacob (7) and Zachary (4). That makes 3 boys for those keeping score. Everyone is doing well. I’ll be at the 15 year reunion.

Rob Cain: I’m still busy in the movie business, currently working with actor Wesley Snipes developing and implementing a strategy for growth for his company, Amen Ra Films (“Blade,” “Art of War,” etc.). I recently completed a project for Universal Studios advising them on the likely future impact that video-on-demand technology will have on their home video business. I’ve also launched a company that specializes in digital film production and post-production– we had several films in competition at Sundance this year and will have a feature called “Tortilla Soup” playing the art house cinemas in August. I was in China in June for the 3 Tenors concert in the Forbidden City, which I helped set up and which I distributed to TV broadcasters around the world (look for the concert on A&E Network in North, Central and South America later this summer). I’m also working with a local (L.A.-based) billionaire to launch a music label and a new comedy-driven entertainment company. Suki and the kids are doing great, and it was absolutely wonderful to see so many of you at the reunion. Peace and best wishes. rob@sparkllc.com
Lance Miller: It has been a while since my last update, and a fair bit has happened. Cheryl and I now have four children: Chelsea, 12, Chance, 10, Faith, 8, and Hope, 5. We moved to Australia in August of 2000 on a three year assignment. I am with Ford, and am the Director, Asia Pacific Region, Global New Business Operations (Ford is acquiring retail businesses in the automotive aftermarket, and I am in charge of that effort for the region). Everyone is doing well here, very much enjoying our first overseas assigment. We have a home page if anyone wants to see pictures: http://hometown.aol.com/lamusmc/myhomepage/index.html
