Reunion Committee Overview

The Reunion Committee is key to the success of each reunion class because it forms the backbone of the reunion efforts. The committee will serve as leaders for the class and create a level of excitement and enthusiasm for Reunion Weekend. The committee’s objective is three-fold.

The first role is to build participatory class support. The second objective is to promote reunion attendance at events, such as presentations by Wharton Faculty, a reunion kick-off reception, a dinner dance and other activities over the course of the weekend. Finally, educate your fellow class mates on the importance of the class gift and how it impacts the Wharton School. Each committee will work closely with a reunion team member throughout the course of the year to build momentum and raise a significant class gift.

It is critical to show that 100% of the Reunion Committee is not only enthusiastic about attending the weekend, but also about supporting the class fundraising effort. The reunion team member will coordinate conference calls, prepare and mail correspondence, send out email blasts, manage the class website and provide committee members with updates on the weekend’s festivities as well as hotel accommodations. We will ensure that your time is used wisely and your volunteer experience is successful and rewarding.

Programming Co-Chairs will:

Be asked to assist with programmatic efforts and work with a designated representative from the reunion team. There will be monthly conference calls for these committees as well as frequent communications. Quarterly newsletters, with content driven by the committee, will be mailed by the School. In addition, monthly email blasts will be sent out with updates on the programmatic content and social activities planned for the weekend. A reunion webpage with content managed by the committee will be developed and updated by the reunion team. As a volunteer, your responsibilities would include the following:

  • Encourage alumni attendance and determine how many attendees to expect at Reunion Weekend based on class history and previous reunion result
